Community Service at the Canfield Fair
Once again, the District Three, ONA blood pressure screening project at the Canfield Fair was a huge success. Co-Chairs, Jeannie Mulichak and Renee McManus wish to thank their committee and all of the RN members and nursing students who assisted in serving our community in this valuable manner. Almost 7, 000 blood pressures were taken over the six days at the Fair. A more complete report from the co-chairs will appear in the next newsletter. Again, we offer a “special thank you” to all who helped offer this great service to our community. Please enjoy the photos from that event.
RN Volunteers Needed to Administer Flu Vaccine at UAW
Three hundred doses of the 2010-2011 Influenza Vaccine have been ordered by District Three, ONA. The United Auto Workers (UAW) Union is working with our District to offer the annual flu clinic for Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 8:00am to 3:00pm at the UAW facility on Reuther Road in North Jackson, Ohio. Flu Vaccine will be administered by our Registered Nurses there for the price of $16.00. Please call the office now to volunteer for this important and rewarding community project and or bring your families there to receive this much needed preventative inoculation. We appreciate the willingness of our members to participate in this valuable community project.
